The War of the Worlds
by H.G. Wells

With the cover design to The War of the Worlds I wanted to keep it bold and brash choosing two colors that fought vibrantly against the other, almost like a laser blast from an alien spacecraft annihilating the human race.

Dante’s Inferno
by Dante Alighieri

For Dante’s Inferno I wanted to design the cover as an updated take on gothic using a more modern and rounded blackletter typeface with some custom alterations in the ‘F’ and ‘T’ letterforms, and a blood orange color to the cover.

Frankenstein
by Mary Shelley

With the Frankenstein cover I wanted to continue with simplicity and design the word mark to subtly convey the story with the mashing together of the ‘N’ and ‘K’ letterforms.

The Art of War
by Sun Tzu

The typeface for The Art of War cover is inspired by Chinese letterforms in their sharpness, and adding the vertical line of red gradation to symbolize a bloody battlefield.
