Personal Project

COWBOY is an experimental short film with themes of American masculinity and the Western genre. Before the era of superheroes, sports icons, or YouTube stars was the period of the Western and the American ideal of the Cowboy. I wanted to explore how it’s been marketed to kids, the violence associated with it, the toys, the gunslingers, gangs, and outlaws, and the allure of a heroic innocence in the men we looked up to.
